Midwest Basketball Tournament Rules

NFSHAA RULES WILL APPLY, WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:

Length of Game:

• Two 20-minute halves

• Running clock except last one minute of each half

• Clock will run if there is a 20 point lead in the 2nd half

• Halftime will last 3 minutes

Overtime:

• Overtime will be 2 minutes, stop clock last 1 minute

• Second overtime period will be one 1 minute, stop clock

• Third overtime period will be sudden death

Timeouts:

• Total of four (4) full timeouts per game

• One additional full timeout per overtime period

Tie Breaker:

Head to head, point spread (15 max), def. points allowed

Eligibility:

A player may play in two different division in one tourney provided they are playing up in at least one division and they are on the rosters for both teams

Other:

• 6th-12th Grade: No pressing with a 20 point lead

• 3rd-5th Grade: No pressing with a 15 point lead
